American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring current BLS, NRP, and EFM/AWHONN certifications with night shift availability.Job Details•Work in a postpartum unit within a hospital's Labor and Delivery department,•Provide care to postpartum obstetric patients,•12-hour night shifts with a 3-day-per-week schedule,•Floating to other locations within a 60-mile float zone may be required in critical need situations,•Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience is required or preferred as noted,•On-call duties are determined by unit requirements,Job Requirements•Active RN license in the state or compact license required and must be in hand at time of consideration,•Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred,•Current AHA certifications in BLS and NRP required,•Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN required,•Minimum of one year recent experience in Labor & Delivery is preferred,•All certifications must be active and American Heart Association (AHA) approved at time of consideration,•Must reside outside of a 60-mile radius from all assignment locations; local candidates are not eligible as travelers,•All documentation and background check requirements must be completed prior to the start date,Additional Information•Primary responsibilities include postpartum assessments, plan of care development, medication administration, wound care, and family education,•Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and provide patient-centered, culturally respectful care,•Participation in quality improvement and evidence-based practice activities is expected,•Travelers may only remain on assignment for up to one year before a mandatory 30-60 day break is required prior to returning,•FLU SHOT required for all travelers during flu season (Nov 1 - March 31) unless a medical exemption, signed by a physician, is provided; religious exemptions are not accepted,•Completion of a Centura Health Float Agreement is required for float positions,•Proper professional attire or scrubs as per hospital policy is expected
