The ideal candidate will have experience with Cerner and a strong background in neuro medical care. Our facility is known for a diverse range of Neuro-ortho surgeries and provides care for patients recovering from strokes as well as telemetry and medical patients. Unit Highlights: - Number of Beds: 20 - Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 (dependent on acuity) - Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics - Common Diagnoses: Stable post-stroke patients, stable neuro surgery patients, telemetry patients, and general medical patients. Key Responsibilities: - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Neuro Progressive Care Unit. - Monitor patient progress and vital signs effectively, utilizing telemetry as required. - Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans. - Maintain accurate patient records through Cerner EHR and ensure effective communication with the medical staff. - Respond to changes in patient conditions promptly and advocate for patient needs. - Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and health management. Certification & Qualifications: - Current RN license and BLS certification required. - Must have prior experience in a Neuro Medical setting and familiarity with Cerner electronic health records. - Telemetry experience is preferred but not required. - Valid credentials and background check required. Additional Information: - Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel positions. - Weekend shifts and floats to medical/telemetry units may be required based on staffing needs.
