This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and skilled nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a stepdown unit. The RN will be responsible for monitoring patients transitioning from intensive care, managing their medical needs, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for patients. Key Responsibilities: - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the stepdown unit.- Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes in their health status.- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.- Educate patients and their families on health management and discharge planning.- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).- Adhere to facility policies and procedures, including infection control protocols. Requirements: - Current RN license in the state of practice (pending state licenses may be considered).- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.- Previous experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.- Must reside permanently more than 50 miles from the facility. Additional Information: - This position may require floating to other units based on staffing needs.- Candidates should have at least one year of relevant experience.- The facility has a specific number of beds and the role may involve unique operational insights.
