Hourly Range: $43.75-$50.00**All Applicants must comply with ITAR Requirements. US Citizens or Permanent Residents only**Reporting to the Head of Machining Operations, the Master Machinist is responsible for operating manual and CNC machine tools, including 5-axis gantry mills, vertical and horizontal milling centers, horizontal and vertical turning centers, etc. in support of production and development machining. Critical thinking and collaboration are required to evaluate and resolve unique equipment and product issues in a demanding production environment.Core Responsibilities:All functions of a Machinist IIIProperly edit advanced NC programsCalculate estimated cycle timesCalculate cutting forces, required HP/torque, clamping forceCommunicate with tooling vendors, tool quoting, tool design, etc.Evaluate inspection reports and correctly disposition productDetermine correct action following inspection - whether to proceed with production or make correctionsRead and interpret customer and internal drawings related to designing fixturingRetrieve operator feedback to improve on processesDeveloping and publishing to ERP system accurate work procedure instructionsObserving overall machining process to determine best practicesAdditional Responsibilities: Other duties as assignedQualifications:Must be able to comply with ITAR and EAR residency requirementsDemonstrated knowledge of machining procedures and practicesExperience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes, grinders etc.)Proven track record of operating safe facilities.Fluent in English; Bi-lingual is a plusEducation/Experience:High school diploma or equivalentA minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment operating CNC mills and lathes.(with) completion of advanced vocational training Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
