As an ER RN, you will provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. This position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a stressful setting. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver emergency medical care to patients in the Emergency Department.- Assess and monitor patients' conditions, documenting vital signs and medical histories.- Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders and protocols.- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and emergency protocols.- Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care. Qualifications: - Current New Jersey RN License or Compact License.- BSN degree is required.- Three (3) years of recent Emergency Department experience.- Previous travel experience, with at least one completed contract assignment.- High volume/fast pace ER experience preferred.- Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (pending or expiring certifications within 30 days are NOT accepted). Work Schedule: - Weekends: Every other weekend or three per month depending on department needs.- Holidays: None.- RTO (Request Time Off): No more than three days accepted. No block scheduling or special requests. Orientation Information: - Attendance at all scheduled orientation activities is mandatory. Failure to complete the full orientation may result in termination.- The candidate will receive an email with instructions for the Virtual Welcome meeting and online modules before the start date. These must be completed by orientation day.- In-person classes are typically held Tuesday through Thursday across multiple locations. Candidates must check HealthStream for the class location on the day of the session.- Required classes include the POCT, which occurs outside of orientation week.
