Job Overview:nWe have an immediate opening for a Structural Engineer in Greenville, SC. This position aims to provide essential technical knowledge and perform intermediate-level engineering assignments. The Structural Engineer will work under the direct supervision of the Discipline Lead Engineer or Area Lead Engineer, performing engineering tasks with intermediate complexity across commercial, industrial, and government projects.nKey Responsibilities:nnAnalyze and make independent recommendations regarding technical solutions to problems of intermediate complexity in accordance with project requirements.nDevelop and review specifications and design criteria.nPerform and check engineering analyses and calculations; specify materials, equipment, and systems; and solve technical problems of intermediate complexity.nCoordinate technical issues with other disciplines, project management, vendors, and clients.nExecute work in compliance with the Project Quality Plan and procedures.nExecute work in accordance with the approved project scope, cost, and schedule baselines.nEstablish, control, and report on material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts.nProvide technical support for equipment and material procurement, including scopes of work, technical bid evaluations, and vendor submittal reviews.nSupport construction administration activities, such as responding to construction requests-for-information and field changes.nOther duties as assigned.nnRequired Qualifications:nnU.S. Citizenship is required.nBachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.nMinimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience.nWorking knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes and standards, including Department of Energy orders.nAbility to communicate effectively with various audiences, including project management, coworkers, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.nJob-related technical knowledge to complete tasks efficiently.nIntermediate knowledge of discipline codes and standards, and compliance with applicable regulations.nIntermediate computer skills, including proficiency in word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, and electronic presentations.nExperience in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services on commercial or industrial projects.nProficiency in executing EPC projects using engineering analysis, 3D modeling, and 2D CAD automation tools in a multi-discipline environment.nnDiscipline-Specific Requirements:nnIntermediate knowledge of performing hand and computer calculations for foundations, concrete, and steel structures.nFamiliarity with structural design software such as STAAD, STAADPro, and RISA3D.nIntermediate skills in Mathcad.nExperience analyzing complex structures, including wind and seismic loading, dynamic analysis and design, computer modeling, and blast design.nnPreferred Qualifications:nnProfessional Engineer (PE) license.nExperience with systems, structures, and components design for nuclear facilities under ASME NQA-1 requirements.nPractical field experience in engineering or construction.nEPC project experience in the following industries:nnU.S. Department of Energy or other U.S. federal government agencies.nNuclear facilities under a nuclear quality assurance program.nManufacturing, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology.nnProficiency in STAADPro and Mathcad.nnLocation: Greenville, SC (29607)nPay Rate: $55.16 per hournHours & Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – FridaynIf you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please contact Jaie Rogers at or call 678-802-6632.
