Job Summary: Our client is seeking a Land Development Engineer to oversee and execute site planning, design, and infrastructure development for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role involves civil engineering expertise , regulatory compliance, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure efficient and sustainable land development.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and oversee site development plans , including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway infrastructure .
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyze environmental impact for land development projects.
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, reports, and specifications in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate with municipal agencies, contractors, and developers to ensure project approvals and compliance.
  • Perform stormwater management analysis and design erosion control measures .
  • Utilize utoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software for site design and modeling.
  • ssist in permitting processes , including zoning, land use, and environmental regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support during construction phases , ensuring adherence to engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with surveyors, architects, and planners to optimize land use and infrastructure efficiency.
  • Conduct cost estimation and budgeting for land development projects.
Must-Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in land development engineering .
  • Proficiency in utoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering design tools.
  • Strong knowledge of stormwater management, grading, and utility design .
  • Experience with zoning regulations, permitting, and environmental compliance .
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills .
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification .
  • Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial land development projects .
  • Familiarity with GIS mapping and hydrology modeling software .
  • Knowledge of local and federal land use regulations .
