Summary:
We are representing a general contractor actively hiring a Project Engineer for commercial construction projects across California and Arizona. This is a strong opportunity for someone with 3-5 years of experience to grow their career in a collaborative, development-focused environment. While commercial experience is preferred, prior work on healthcare, DSA, or education projects is a plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project coordination
  • Draft and manage RFIs, submittals, and change events including tracking cost/schedule impacts
  • Review drawings, assist with permitting, and maintain as-built documentation
  • Perform quantity take-offs and support cost estimation efforts
  • Communicate with clients, architects, consultants, and internal departments
  • Organize and update project logs, including punch lists and document revisions
  • Attend and document meetings, prepare minutes, and track action items
  • Help manage monthly billings, bid packages, and project schedules
  • Notify project team and subcontractors of changes in construction timelines
  • Follow company file procedures and support closeout documentation collection
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specs, and project documents
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, or structural)
  • Proficient in Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites
  • U.S. work authorization
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Commercial project experience
  • Prior experience with healthcare, DSA, or school construction
  • EIT certification
  • Spanish or multilingual skills
