We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Systems Engineer to join our team. This role involves performing software systems engineering during the development and sustainment phases of a project focused on mission planning software for aircraft and weapons systems. This position requires full-time on-site presence.
Travel: Some travel may be required.
Clearance: An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is mandatory for this role. Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.
Requirements:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Systems Engineering for DoD aircraft systems, weapons systems, or mission systems, including the design, development, integration, and system testing of computer hardware and software.
- Proficient in decomposing requirements into technical system and software specifications.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and presentation skills, alongside strong critical thinking and reasoning capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Assess the capability of new enhancements, updated hardware, and software to fulfill system and mission performance requirements.
- Develop, review, and provide feedback on H-60 software requirements throughout the project's development and sustainment phases, based on program office information. This includes conducting trade-off studies, engineering analyses, system implementation assessments, and research to propose informed recommendations.
- Offer insights on human systems engineering practices.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with DoD Systems Engineering Technical Reviews, model-based systems engineering, systems-of-systems engineering, and safety & reliability principles.
- Familiarity with Mission Planning Software, DOORS®, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, and agile project development methodologies.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a Technical Discipline.
Compensation: At SimVentions, compensation is determined by various factors, including experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, and alignment with our corporate compensation plan. The projected annual compensation range for this position is $115,000 - $175,900.
