Electronics Engineer Manager, Satellite Test Equipment

Description: Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a multi-program Electronics Engineering Manager to lead a Satellite Test Equipment team.
nLocation: Although this position does support some teleworking ; the selected candidate will need to be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Littleton CO , and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.
nnWhat does this role look like?
nJoin us where you will lead a team of Satellite Test Equipment hardware and software engineers developing electronics for new satellite avionics for use across Lockheed Martin Space. We work with multiple programs from several lines of business to introduce new technologies that support the growing needs of the space industry.
nIn this role, you are responsible for managing an interdisciplinary engineering team in design, documentation, fabrication, assembly, test and integration of development and flight hardware.
nnKey activities you will accomplish in this role:
nManaging the research, design, development, and testing of a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including:
n• Radar and radiation detection equipment.
n• Radio, television and other communications equipment and systems.
n• Circuitry components.
n• Analog and digital computers.
n• Control and test equipment.
nnAdditional responsibilities are:
n• Manage the successful planning and technical execution of test console design, fabrication, and certification which includes planning of detailed schedules, leading design reviews, managing WBS budgets, development of Acceptance Test Procedures in support of console checkouts and hardware system test, short and long term resource planning, and regular communication of test status, supporting program reviews.
n• Leadership duties will also include the support of: selection and hiring of staff, performance evaluations, promotions, job actions, career planning, training, leadership assessment, mentoring, merit distribution, personnel and hardware safety mitigation.
nnDaily responsibilities include:
n• Coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training.
n• Performance assessment.
n• Work assignments.
n• Salary and recognition/disciplinary actions.
nnTypical mins for this role:
n• At least an undergraduate degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
n• 4 or more years in the development of Test Systems, or engineering development and manufacturing projects.
n• Previous leadership roles
nYOU WILL TYPICALLY HAVE:
n• 10+ years of professional experience for this role.
n• No security clearance is needed for this position but US Citizenship is required.

nBasic Qualifications:
n• Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
n• Experience in development of Test Systems or engineering development and manufacturing projects.
n• Prior team leadership experience.
n• Proficient with MS Project or other similar software tools.
nDesired Skills:
n• Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
n• Advanced degree
n• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong coordination and multi-tasking
nskills required.
n• Experience working with Labs, technicians and engineers.
nProject management experience
n• Good understanding of Electronics design to effectively communicate with the test design team.
n• CAM experience.
n• Prior experience developing / equipment
n• Understanding of component, subsystem and system Level testing.

nAbility to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
nWork Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
nSchedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
nPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
