Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The physician in the clinical track is responsible for providing direct inpatient and outpatient care to Hepatology patients at UHealth Locations and Jackson Memorial Hospital ( 8 half days) . He/she will provide outpatient clinical and endoscopic services , as well as rounding/teaching on inpatients at UHealth Towers, and Jackson Memorial Hospital . Preferred physician who has experience as a Transplant Hepatologist . Physician will do weekly, holiday, and weekend call proportionate to other Hepatology providers .

Outline of additional responsibilities include but are not Limited to:

Maintain outpatient clinical practice at Uhealth locations, UHealth Towers , and/or Satellite locations .

Reading of Fibroscans
n
n
Rotate on night and weekend call proportionate to other faculty .
n
n
Rotate proportionate to other faculty on Hepatology inpatient and JMH teaching services .
n
Qualifications:
n
n
MD Degree and ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency .
n
n
Completed 3-year ACGME US gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship .
n
n
Provide case logs for core and non-core endoscopic procedures (2 years) , including motility studies .
n
n
Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine , Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology (or board eligible) .
n
n
Valid unrestricted Florida Medic al License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing) .
n
n
Valid DEA licensure .
n

Kn owledge, Skills, and Abilities:

n
Completion of US ACGME 3-year gastroenterology fellowship .
n
n
Completion of transplant hepatology training
n
n
Must maintain CME to meet institutional a nd state licensing requirements .
n
n
Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care .
n
n
Current ACLS and BLS certification required .
n
