Job Description:

n

M&E Engineers is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our sustainable design team. The ideal candidate has the ability to design lighting and power distribution systems for complex commercial and industrial buildings, and has an understanding of energy use and conservation measures.

n

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

n

Design building power distribution systems.

n

Design building interior and exterior lighting systems.

n

Design building fire detection systems.

n

Design building telephone and data distribution systems.

n

Provide technical clarification of designs.

n

Communicate with architects, contractors, owners, other designers, and external consultants.

n

Monitor electrical construction progress.

n

Review shop drawings.

n

Conduct field investigations and prepare reports for electrical issues.

n

Cost estimating and equipment selection.

n

Arc flash and energy analysis.

n

Minimum Qualifications:

n

Minimum 4 years experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

n

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline is preferred.

n

LEED AP certification is a plus.

n

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel is required.

n

Experience with Revit is a plus.

n

Good writing and general communication skills.
