nJob Description:
nM&E Engineers is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our sustainable design team. The ideal candidate has the ability to design lighting and power distribution systems for complex commercial and industrial buildings, and has an understanding of energy use and conservation measures.
nEssential duties and responsibilities include:
nDesign building power distribution systems.
nDesign building interior and exterior lighting systems.
nDesign building fire detection systems.
nDesign building telephone and data distribution systems.
nProvide technical clarification of designs.
nCommunicate with architects, contractors, owners, other designers, and external consultants.
nMonitor electrical construction progress.
nReview shop drawings.
nConduct field investigations and prepare reports for electrical issues.
nCost estimating and equipment selection.
nArc flash and energy analysis.
nMinimum Qualifications:
nMinimum 4 years experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
nBachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline is preferred.
nLEED AP certification is a plus.
nProficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel is required.
nExperience with Revit is a plus.
nGood writing and general communication skills.
