nJob Description:
nM&E Engineers is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our sustainable design team. The ideal candidate has the ability to design HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration systems for complex commercial and industrial buildings, and has an understanding of energy use and conservation measures.
nEssential duties and responsibilities include:
nDesign of building HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and refrigeration systems.
nProvide technical clarification of designs.
nCommunicate with architects, contractors, owners, other designers, and external consultants.
nManage day-to-day project coordination.
nCost estimating and equipment selection.
nPerform bid walkthrough with contractors and respond to RFIs.
nMonitor mechanical construction progress.
nReview shop drawings.
nConduct field investigations and prepare reports for mechanical issues.
nEnergy analysis and commissioning.
nMinimum Qualifications:
nMinimum 5 years of experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
nBachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline is preferred.
nProficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel is required.
nExperience with REVIT is highly preferred.
nLEED AP and/or Energy Auditor certification is a plus.
nExperience with eQuest and other energy modeling software is a plus.
nGood writing and general communication skills.
nCompensation:
nSalary dependent upon experience
n$75,000 to $100,000
nFlexible work from home options available.
