POSITION SUMMARY

n

Works with the steel and precast erection project management team to manage the daily activities required to ensure the safety and successful completion of the project. Liaison with the company's customer and their architect and engineering consultants as required. Coordinates activities of the jobs and resolves questions and problems. Responsibilities also include scheduling, financial accountability, change management and overall project responsibility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that safety programs and worksite procedures are followed-help keep teams safe and productive.
  • n
  • Assist with project cost tracking, budgeting, and change management.
  • n
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and inspectors to ensure work meets all specifications and quality standards.
  • n
  • Support the superintendent with daily project operations and documentation.
  • n
  • See that the erection plan is followed properly and that any changes are coordinated with the project manager.
  • n
  • Report all material shortages or discrepancies immediately.
  • n
  • Understand where the project's survey control points are and ensure that the work is set to the proper elevation and alignment.
  • n
  • Learn and apply critical field procedures for surveying, bolting, welding, and more.
  • n
  • Verify that all equipment and materials meet project requirements and are properly used onsite.
  • n
  • Check to see that all fabricator installed material is in place and correctly sized and located.
  • n
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

n
    n
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, or related field (or working toward one).
  • n
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to take on new challenges.
  • n
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • n
  • Excellent communication and a collaborative, team-first attitude.
  • n
  • High spatial intelligence and ability to interpret construction plans and drawings.
  • n
  • Willingness to complete OSHA 10-Hour Safety Certification and CPR/First Aid Training (We'll help you get there!).
  • n
