Job Description:
The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative III - Float represents the face of the company to patients visiting for routine health checks or critical diagnostic procedures. This role requires drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures and safety protocols. The Phlebotomist III - Float works directly with patients, building trust and explaining procedures clearly while demonstrating exceptional phlebotomy skills.
This role involves providing coverage at multiple locations and performing various roles, ensuring daily operations at Patient Service Centers (PSCs), mobile units, long-term care, or in-office phlebotomy (IOP) are accurate and timely. The position includes responsibilities such as mentoring and training new staff, acting as a site lead, and ensuring smooth onboarding of new clients.
This individual will work with complex accounts requiring outstanding customer service, effective problem-solving, and close collaboration with departments such as Sales, Laboratory Services, IT, Billing, and Logistics. The Phlebotomist III - Float must be comfortable handling high volumes and multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Required Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington
Work Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
  • Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred
  • Keyboard/data entry experience required
