nLockheed Martin Echo Program is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer-IT to join our infrastructure team. As a Systems Engineer-IT, you will implement, and maintain several large-scale compute systems for mission-critical programs. You will have a background in systems administration, scripting, networking, and cybersecurity. This position administers information systems across multiple programs and requires the agility to solve problems and troubleshoot ad-hoc issues. nKey Responsibilities:
n• Configure, administer, and maintain Windows and Linux systems as a Privileged User, ensuring optimal performance and security.
n• Harden the system to meet classified STIG compliance.
n• Develop and utilize PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, and other scripting languages to automate tasks and streamline operations.
n• Design, deploy, and manage on-premises & cloud solutions.
n• Work both independently, alongside a team, and across multiple programs to resolve complex issues and keep our systems running efficiently.
n• Stand up and maintain operational, resilient systems, including NAS storage, backups, and other related infrastructure, ensuring data integrity and availability.
nSelected candidate must have an active Top Secret security clearance for consideration.
nThis is an EARLY CAREER (level 2) ROLE where candidates typically require 2 years of professional experience and a BS degree.

nBasic Qualifications:
n• Experience with Windows and Linux system administration and a proven track record of maintaining secure and performant systems.
n• Experience with scripting languages with one or more of the following: PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, and Ansible.
n• Active Security+ certification - DoD 8140 compliant cert.
n• Top Secret security clearance required for consideration.
nDesired Skills:
n• Familiarity with classified security best practices, STIG compliance, and Privileged User responsibilities.
n• VMWare, ESXi, vSphere experience.
n• Prior experience with cloud virtualization (AWS, VMWare, Citrix, etc).
n• Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker & Podman)
n• Strong communication and teamwork skills

nWork Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
