ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated cooking experience, preferably within a hospitality, restaurant or gaming environment. Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure. Demonstrated experience problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or equivalent in education and experience. One (1) or more years of recent and related cooking experience is preferred, specifically within a hospitality, restaurant, or gaming environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.
REASONING ABILITY: No decision making is required beyond scope of essential duties.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Food Handler’s License, or equivalent.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: No additional skills are required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties involve performing physical exertion, including frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, crouching, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, kneeling, squatting, and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties require lifting trays containing food and lifting up to 30 pounds to stack, store, or move kitchen, restaurant, or general office supplies and equipment. Essential duties involve a flexible work week with additional hours routinely required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Essential duties require working in a small area with floors which may become slippery in the process of preparing food and beverages. Essential duties include working with large numbers of people while primarily in an inside environment which contains high noise levels, odors, and is hot or cold due to running ovens and refrigeration units.
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED: Equipment typical of a commercial kitchen, including slicers, mixers, ovens, burners, steam table, groove grill, refrigerators, fryers, knives, spoons, forks, glasses, plates, pots, pans, pitchers, oven mitts, and various cleaning supplies.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
$18.00+ an hour based on experience

- Efficiently and consistently prepares all menu items and specials with great attention to quality, presentation, taste, and all other details. Includes the ability to prepare large orders in a manner that preserves the quality of each plate.
- Able to effectively make adjustments to provide the best overall dining experience to all customers. Reads tickets and makes food according to guest specifications, including any modifications they would like.
- Attendance: reports to work as scheduled, on time, and ready to work.
- Develops, maintains, and enhances positive relations with all guests and employees.
- Wears and maintains all uniforms properly, including nametag. Must wear a gaming license if in possession of one.
- Maintains a clean work station. Assists in keeping the kitchen clean and organized.
- Alerts supervisor of any concerns regarding the quality, selection, and variety of all food.
- Performs duties in compliance with health standards, safety standards, the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, and internal policies and procedures.
- Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities and a general awareness of restaurant operations at all times.
- Receives training, technical direction, and guidance from the Lead Cook, Floor Supervisor, and/or Kitchen Manager.
- Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
