nnROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
nThe Manufacturing Engineer will report directly to the Plant Manager. The Manufacturing Engineer will be directly responsible for managing and leading the relocation and integration of product lines from other facilities. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the Manufacturing team has the information and equipment to produce designs produced by Engineering and will act as a liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
nnDevelops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes/tooling and methods in accordance with designs and specifications which support safety, quality and production standards.
nRecommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Actively participates in problem solving chronic manufacturing issues using innovative approaches to current methods and the application of lean principles.
nMajor responsibilities include enhancing component manufacturing by assuring that parts, or assemblies are processed and tooled to meet optimum quality, quantity and cost requirements. Provide technical support to analyze and develop manufacturing control systems. Serve as a team leader on complex assignments by interfacing with sales, quality and product engineering and manufacturing.
nOther responsibilities include developing cost reduction programs through manufacturing efficiency improvements, schedule attainment and first run capability. Eliminate waste throughout the organization using Lean techniques.
nPerforms research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow and assembly methods.
nEnsures any new products, whether developed organically or through transfer or acquisition, are successfully integrated into Manufacturing.

nnQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
nStrong communication and interpersonal skills
nExcellent Project Management skills
nExperience in relocating businesses or product lines
nExcellent organizational and time management skills
nKnowledge of and experience implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques.
nHighly motivated, organized, and self-directed
nComputer literate. MS Office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity using ERP systems.
nAbility to read engineering drawings
nTechnical associate's degree or higher with minimum of 5 years Manufacturing/Quality Engineer experience
nMinimum of 5 years experience working within a manufacturing environment
nMust demonstrate ability to read work instructions, literate in materials and inventory, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, deadline oriented, multiple task ability, strong basic math skills, strong leadership skills. Proficiency with a variety of hand tools and measuring devices. (I.e. screwdrivers, wrenches, measuring tapes/rulers, micrometers)
nnPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
