Position: Senior System Engineer & Team Lead (IT Engineer Level IV) Position Type: Onsite Location: Washington, DC Clearance: Secret or Above

n

Specific Job Responsibilities:

n

Provide Tier III engineering and project support for:

n

Windows 10/11, Office 365 Apps, COTS, and custom-developed software

n

Azure Virtual Desktops, Azure AD, and Azure cloud storage

n

On-premise Active Directory management including DNS, GPO, DHCP, file services, user/group management, and PKI certificates

n

Microsoft Teams and Cisco WebEx

n

Enterprise backup (HYCU), HP Secure Print, and NAS

n

Zscaler ZPA/ZIA and AvePoint cloud backups

n

Evaluate IT infrastructure to improve system performance and efficiency.

n

Plan and execute infrastructure capacity improvements aligned with agency needs.

n

Identify and resolve Active Directory and M365 inconsistencies.

n

Collaborate with vendors, agency system owners, COR, and senior stakeholders on IT modernization efforts.

n

Support SDLC activities, stage gates, IRB, and ATO documentation.

n

Lead MSM staff and ensure quality documentation, planning, and client communications.

n

Keep technical documentation, project, and ticket statuses up-to-date.

n

Attend weekly technical/project meetings including Change Control Board and Technical Review Board.

n

Required Qualifications/Skills:

n

Master’s degree in a relevant field

n

14+ years of relevant IT experience

n

10+ years of experience with:

n

Windows OS, Office 365, and application support

n

Azure (VMs, AVD, Virtual Networking, Automation, Entra ID)

n

Active Directory, M365 platform management

n

Identity Access Management (Okta, ADFS, etc.)

n

Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

n

Enterprise backup solutions

n

HP Secure Print and Zscaler network security products

n
