Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineer. The Structural Engineer supports structural design and engineering work under the direction of lead engineers for an industrial based firm whose projects are in the oil and gas industry.nResponsibilities will include but not limited to designing foundations and structures that comply with governing codes and standards. Works hand in hand with other disciplines to identify and design support structures for cable trays, pumps, motors, buildings, etc. Develop project scopes, schedules and budgets for design related tasks under the direction of licensed engineers. Reviews design work of designer staff within the department.nEssential Job FunctionsnnPrepare project documentation for review by the lead engineers:nnSet up design criteria including code requirements.nIdentify all discipline’s requirements for projects and applicable code requirements.nPrepare drawing requirements and a schedule.nnPerform site visits with lead engineers to assist with defining scope.nDevelop materials specifications for steel, rebar, concrete, and project related items.nParticipate in peer drawing design reviews (QA/QC) for structural projects.nEstablish structural design models, elements of models and perform analysis.nUtilize structural software to design using basic engineering knowledge and principles.nUnder direction, support planning, cost estimating, scheduling, and management activities.nAssist in the development of geotechnical scope and report reviews.nApply IBC, SPCC, ACI318, AICS 360, ASCE 7 and industry related codes and standards.nDevelop and maintain standard designs and templates for foundations and steel structures.nUtilize MS Excel and other software to perform structural load calculations.nWrite and maintain effective clear communication with client and peers.nnRequired:nnBS degree from an accredited university in Structural EngineeringnAutoCAD proficiencynStrong written and verbal communication skillsnnPreferred:nn1 plus year of Industrial project experience as a Structural EngineernAutoCAD Steel /Advanced Steel software experiencennGreat long term growth potential.n0-5 years experience idealn6 month temp to hirenLocation: Alpharetta, GAnPay Range: $29-$36/hrnPlease send resume to: Wendy
