Principal Network Engineer
Bolling AFB, Washington, DC

Requirements:
Experienced Principal Network Engineer
Active TS/SCI clearance (required)
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) - Full certification (required)
CompTIA Security+ (or DoD 8570-compliant equivalent certification)
10+ years of progressive experience in network engineering roles, with emphasis on enterprise and tactical networks
5+ years of experience providing Tier 3/Tier 4 support in complex network environments
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as a motivated self-starter
Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring less-experienced personnel
Duties:
Translate stakeholder and government requirements into comprehensive network solutions, including modifications and support upgrades (hardware/software acquisition, installation, configuration, testing)
Provide executive-level support for the design, deployment, and optimal operation of business-critical enterprise networks
Serve as a subject matter expert on current and emerging network technologies to solve complex engineering challenges
Engage with clients to analyze and assess modernization opportunities and improvements to existing networking solutions
Deliver full-spectrum network engineering support for current and future requirements across enterprise and tactical network domains
Provide Tier 3 and Tier 4 troubleshooting, design, and engineering support for network systems and infrastructure
Design and develop solutions for voice, video, RF, and data communication networks
Plan network topologies and configure systems to align with user environments
nalyze traffic, capacity, and network performance metrics to support optimization
Support procurement efforts for hardware, software, and subcontractor services
Provide guidance and leadership to junior network engineers and technical staff
Serve as a technical team or task leader on strategic initiatives
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant network technologies
Contribute to special projects and mission-critical initiatives as assigned
