Commercial Business Manager KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. Commercial Business Manager . This role involves providing commercial leadership within a project team, coordinating with project management, and applying problem-solving and communication skills to engage clients, supply chain, and project teams. Responsibilities include negotiating resolutions, supporting pre- and post-award phases, and engaging with business leadership. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the project team, especially during the transition phase. Implementing commercial management strategies during all project phases, ensuring contract compliance and commercial integrity. Supporting risk and opportunity analysis, developing mitigation plans, and ensuring cost and schedule certainty. Leading and guiding project teams on contract requirements to maintain compliance and avoid disputes. Developing contracting strategies for major contracts and procurement activities. Managing non-technical project activities and providing timely, relevant information to project managers. Ensuring contractor compliance and early detection of non-compliances. Supporting change management processes and negotiations to protect commercial interests. Developing and implementing claims management plans. Reviewing subcontracts and purchase orders for risk and compliance issues. Drafting contractual notifications and formal communication responses. Managing claims and coordinating legal and third-party support. Reviewing project performance against contractual and financial targets. Developing contracts training for project personnel and contracts management teams. Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Law, Quantity Surveying, or related fields. At least 12+ years of relevant experience in energy, consultancy, technology, or government projects, with expertise in contracts and subcontracting. Experience managing large PMC projects and complex contracting strategies with multiple EPC contractors. Hands-on experience in risk management, contract administration, subcontracts, or project management. Knowledge of the entire project lifecycle in EPC or PMC contracts. Strong communication skills in English. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage teams of contracts, legal, and procurement staff. Additional skills: Experience across the full project lifecycle, including field/project assignments in EPC, PMC, or government projects. Analytical skills, data analysis, and data science knowledge.
