Leidos is currently seeking an F5 Load Balancer Network Engineer. This position supports a large enterprise IT contract for the Department of Defense (DoD). Responsibilities include implementing, operating, and maintaining load balancer technologies across a global enterprise. Key duties involve updating technologies, optimizing performance, and applying critical patches within both on-premises and cloud infrastructures. Primary Responsibilities Ensure the operational status of Secure Socket Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) offloading and PKI authentication on the F5 appliance. Backup load balancing configurations and PKI certificates according to customer policies. Communicate proactively with load balancing clients regarding upcoming PKI certificate expirations and assist with renewals. Create, manage, and troubleshoot load balanced IP address configurations. Collaborate with engineers and architects to develop and implement technical solutions. Provide after-hours support for 24/7 IT Operations Center to troubleshoot service issues. Document and develop technical solutions and operating procedures to assist the IT Operations Center in troubleshooting and triage. Successful Candidates Will Have: Experience administering and managing F5 load balancer appliances in an enterprise setting. Knowledge of tools and standards for technology monitoring and management of F5 appliances. Technical expertise in backing up PKI certificates and appliance configurations. Skills in creating, managing, and troubleshooting load balanced IP address spaces. Ability to work independently to meet customer requirements. Experience in collaborating with team members on requirements and solutions. Familiarity with IT Service Management products such as ServiceNow. Certifications DoDM 8140.03 (previously DoD 8570) compliance is required for IT System Admin Intermediate certification (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher). F5 Certified Administrator (201) or higher certification is required. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience. Education equivalent to an Associate's with 10 years of related experience, or a High School Diploma with 12 years of related experience may replace a Bachelor's degree. Security Clearance Due to the nature of our government contracts, U.S. Citizenship is required. TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required for this position, or TS/SCI with willingness to obtain and maintain a specific polygraph. Join us in breaking down barriers and innovating for the future. $89,700.00 - $162,150.00 Please note this pay range serves as a guideline and factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and market alignment will be considered in your compensation package.
