We’re seeking a
Business Development Manager, Energy Storage
to lead customer development for utility-scale battery energy storage projects. You will engage directly with customers, participate in RFPs, shape commercial proposals, and manage our sales pipeline. Responsibilities: Develop and manage a pipeline of BESS opportunities with hyper-scalers, utilities, IPPs, and developers. Lead customer engagements from initial contact to contract signing. Build and maintain a network within the BESS customer ecosystem to help scale Redwood Energy. Work with colleagues to translate customer needs into technical and commercial solutions. Support RFP responses, pricing strategies, and incentive programs. Collaborate with Engineering, Commercial, and Finance teams to deliver projects. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field. 5+ years of experience in BESS, utility-scale solar, or grid-connected energy systems in sales roles. Proven success in scoping, pricing, and closing complex projects with customers. Knowledge of Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and incentive programs. Experience with commercial pricing models and proposals. Comfortable working in a dynamic, startup environment as a motivated, independent self-starter. Passion for sustainability and making a positive impact. The position is full-time, with compensation based on experience.
