You will serve as a
SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN)
in the Comms, Networks and Cyber In-Service Engineering Division of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO, CA. Duties
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Division, directly supervising first-line supervisors, and coordinating with the Department Deputy for Operations. You will provide oversight and guidance to support technical, programmatic, and administrative operations within the Division. You will provide direction and coordination for the Division on operational matters under the guidance of the Division Head. You will work closely with the Division Head on implementing strategic and tactical actions, involving direct interface with all Division staff and first-line supervisors. Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. New employees must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. For more information, visit e-verify.gov. Current federal employees applying for GS jobs must meet the time-in-grade requirement, generally serving at least one year at the next lower grade by the closing date. Retired military members applying within 180 days of retirement are subject to 5 U.S. Code 3326. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. You will be required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance prior to starting. Failure to do so may result in withdrawal of the job offer or removal. MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required. Failure to report or pass may result in rescinding the offer. Random testing applies. You will need to complete training, and obtain and maintain a government travel credit card. This position may require travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations, including remote sites, and extended periods on military and commercial aircraft. Supervisors must review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101 and complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment. A Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE-450) must be submitted within 30 days of appointment.
