ayroll specialist
. This is a part-time position performing detail-oriented bookkeeping, accounting, and administrative work in administering the entire payroll function to generate the city’s bi-weekly computerized payroll. This position is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial operations related to all payroll functions. The position reports to the finance director. 2-4 years of payroll experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Experience working in payroll for a government agency is preferred. Minimum of an associate's degree or two years of technical or business school, including courses in accounting preferred. Between $24.00 and $25.00 per hour; the maximum hourly rate for this position is $27.00 per hour. This is a non-union part-time position with a flexible work schedule, working up to a maximum of 20 hours a week; no other benefits are available related to this position.
