Medical Billing Specialist/Payment Poster to join our billing team! THIS IS AN IN-PERSON POSITION. Full Time, Monday- Friday 8am-5pm One or more
years of medical billing experience is preferred. The ideal candidate should be dependable, professional, detail oriented, customer service friendly and able to adjust to rapid changes.
They must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Start earning PTO from day one, Full benefits package available after 60 days. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Knowledge of verifying insurance benefits prior to services Knowledge in the processing of Prior Authorizations Assisting Patients who call inquiring about their bills Assisting office staff with patient questions on their accounts Appealing Insurance denials and resubmitting working from a queue preferred Processing secondary claim submissions for payments Experience with Practice Management Systems - Modernizing Medicine (ModMed) knowledge/experience is a plus. Processing accounts for collection and agency referrals Knowledge of Payment Posting (Cash, EOBs, Credit Cards & ERAs) Knowledge of posting payments issued by insurance companies a must. Knowledge of how Insurance Companies reimburse and the required Contractual Adjustments Seniority level
