Job Summary: The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR I) plays a vital frontline role in delivering compassionate, high-quality diagnostic services. As the face of our organization, this entry-level position involves collecting blood specimens, supporting laboratory operations, and ensuring a positive patient experience. The PSR I works under the supervision of the area supervisor, combining technical skill and interpersonal communication to represent trust, care, and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform accurate and safe blood draws from pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Prepare specimens for lab processing in compliance with established procedures. Maintain clean, safe, and professional work areas and uphold infection control standards. Engage directly with patients to explain procedures and build comfort and trust. Complete and maintain accurate documentation and patient records. Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection duties. Represent the organization professionally to clients, patients, and the public. Ensure flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed. Required Experience:

Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required High school diploma or equivalent Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision Keyboard/data entry proficiency Nice-to-Have Experience:

1+ years of phlebotomy experience preferred Prior customer service experience in a healthcare or retail setting Medical assistant or paramedic training Experience with pediatric and geriatric patient interactions Required Skills:

Phlebotomy (pediatric and geriatric) Patient interaction & customer service Documentation accuracy Preferred Skills:

CompTIA A+, MCP/MTA, or equivalent certifications (optional) Knowledge of medical/lab equipment handling Time management and flexibility Clinical recordkeeping Additional Skills from Original Description:
