Earn rewards for referring exceptional colleagues Position Overview Phaxis Education is partnering with Creative Minds International Public Charter School in Northwest DC to fill a School Counselor or Social Worker position for the fall semester. The school is known for its inclusive practices, diverse student body, and leadership that values whole-child wellness. This is a full-time FMLA coverage role starting August 25, 2025, through December, with strong potential to extend. The hourly rate is $40$50+ depending on experience. If youre passionate about supporting students through social-emotional learning, counseling, and individualized supportthis is your opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a collaborative, well-resourced setting. Provide individual and group counseling to students in both general education and special education settings Deliver SEL interventions in inclusion classrooms Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success Participate in IEP and 504 plan development and implementation Maintain accurate and timely documentation per district standards Contribute to a school culture that supports wellness, diversity, and inclusion What You Bring Masters degree in School Counseling, Social Work, or a related field (required) Active or eligible DC certification/licensure as a school counselor or social worker (preferred) Experience in school-based or pediatric counseling settings (preferred) Ability to build rapport with a diverse student population and staff Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Ability to work in the U.S. Without sponsorship (preferred) Note: Candidates who can interview and start quickly are highly encouraged to apply!
