Maintenance Manager

WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a Maintenance Manager responsible for the management of all activities related to operations and development of the facility in conjunction with the Operations and Plant Manager. They will also be responsible for the safe, proper, and efficient operation and maintenance of the facility in accordance with company policies and standards, under the direction of the Plant Manager. They will manage and coordinate Maintenance activities to include but not limited to installing, inspecting, testing, repairing, adjusting, and calibrating all plant equipment and instrumentation. Responsibilities

Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of the operations, maintenance (where applicable) and labor departments during daily operations and plant outages Responsible for developing, maintaining, and instituting operating and emergency procedures Makes daily inspections of plant machinery and equipment; inspects ongoing activities for safety and environmental compliance, and for adherence to standard operating procedures Assign daily work to team based on priority, working with the Operations department. Ensure alignment amongst departments. Ensure communication is established and consistent with the departments on-call schedule and contact information for specified events Responsible for implementing an effective training program that ensures that employees meet minimum requirements of job classification and are adequately prepared to assume all responsibilities of their assigned positions Assists the plant manager in developing operational and maintenance budgets and strategies Manages and directs mechanical and E&I maintenance function of plant, in accordance with appropriate company safety and maintenance standards and procedures. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals Supervises all mechanical and E&I maintenance department activities including, but not limited to preventative, predictive, corrective, emergency, contracted and warranty service Prepares, authorizes, and schedules completion of work orders for equipment repair and maintenance Selects, supervises, trains, develops, and evaluates performance of maintenance staff Administers predictive analysis program for all mechanical and electrical systems and equipment Schedules and monitors performance of all outside contractors to ensure effective, safe plant maintenance and operation Oversees maintenance of all facility mobile equipment Develops and maintains record of plant maintenance, including work orders, P.M., lubrication planning, planned and unplanned outages and inspections. Prepares work orders indicating malfunctions of instruments and authorizes work order requests. Requisitions new parts and instruments. Plans and supervises repair and maintenance during major outages Utilizes and maintains CMMS in accordance with company policy Recommends and maintains appropriate spare parts inventory in accordance with company policy Oversees management of Maintenance Shop. Inspects and tests shop equipment, including new and repaired instruments, to verify dimensions of parts for conformance to quality control standards. Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties Provides guidance and direction to facility staff members Responsible for maintaining acceptable plant morale Responsible for maintaining plant cleanliness Develops operational performance and productivity goals in conjunction with the Operations and Plant Manager via the annual business plan and continuously strives to meet or beat those goals Efficient management of the company's operations standards Ensures customer satisfaction Administers/enforces the lockout/tagout system Sets productivity goals and is accountable for meeting those goals Fosters and promotes a culture of teamwork between operational staff and all other plant staff Prepares specifications to be used in the negotiation of bids, contracts, and rate estimations for new business Maintains staffing levels consistent with approved budget Conducts performance evaluations; hires, develops, and manages staff. When necessary, takes appropriate disciplinary action in accordance with company policy Provides daily supervision over assigned staff and is responsible for the preparation of the maintenance shift schedules With management team, prepares budget and is accountable for meeting operational goals by way of an established maintenance department Reads, analyzes, and interprets common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents Responds appropriately to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community Completes the Corporate and Plant Training Programs within the time frame prescribed Ensures that the facility and all personnel operate safely at all times and promotes an environment whereby safety is a priority. Follows standard safety procedures, corrects safety and environmental hazards. Reads, understands, and implements lockout/tagout, safety rules, job hazard analyses, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Thoroughly and promptly investigates any accidents or near misses in conjunction with the Environmental compliance manager as well as the Health & Safety manager to ensure that any unsafe practices or conditions are addressed and eliminated immediately Communicates clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing; as well as communicates clearly whether using in-situ intercom system, two-way radio, or face to face Anticipates typical problems, identifies potential or recurring problems, and takes appropriate action. Troubleshoots equipment and assists in diagnosing problem areas Plan and conduct major outages; unscheduled and scheduled. Implement and direct effective PM program, lubrication plans, installation, troubleshooting, cleaning, inspecting and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment throughout the facility in a safe and professional manner. Preferred Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University with a major or minor in an area related to the above responsibilities and 6 -- 8 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience 3 - 5 years of supervisory or management experience Knowledge and understanding of the operation, maintenance and control of a steam generating power plant Proficient with Microsoft Software; Excel, Word, Office, etc. Experienced in using CMMS Travel may be required, 0 -- 25% Certificates and Licenses
