Distribution Center Support
Supports the administrative functions of the Distribution Center including providing support to stores, customers, vendors, and supervisors. Ensures all contact with customers supports a world-class customer service experience. In addition, this position supports the daily operation of the business including billing, accounting, supply purchasing and reconciliation, and ordering of parts. Key responsibilities include: Follow-up and resolves delivery issues via email or phone by customers, stores, and drivers. Compile and maintain Distribution Center statistics via review of delivery documents. Contacts and surveys delivery customers directly. Reviews upcoming delivery routes for to maximize delivery capacity and cost-effective routes. Order, receive, monitor and schedule parts for company and customer-owned merchandise being repaired before storage or delivery. Assist walk-in customers needing assistance with pick-up orders. Scope & impact: Supports the retail store locations within the established distribution region. The success of this role will be measured by the number of store or customer issues and the result of the resolution to the customer's or store's satisfaction. Minimum requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. Proficiency with Office software including email, Excel, Word, and potentially PowerPoint. Requires the interest and aptitude to learn and use the RMS WMS system in-depth and repeatedly. Preferred requirements: Ability to learn and use a Retail Management System and Warehouse Management System. Supervisory responsibilities: None Physical Demands/Work Environment: Office environment / no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands. Often required to sit, repetitive hand motion (such as typing), hear, listen, talk, stand, and walk. Seldom required to bend, stoop, climb stairs, climb ladders, kneel, squat, reach overhead, push, pull. Not required to crouch, crawl, or shovel.
