Position Overview
We are seeking a
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
to provide behavioral health support in a correctional facility setting located in Vacaville, CA. This part-time contract role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a structured care environment, with the potential for contract extension or long-term state employment with full benefits if available.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as clinician-of-the-day for patient emergencies as scheduled Conduct psychosocial assessments and gather patient history through interviews Identify actual and potential behavioral health diagnoses and patient needs Plan and implement appropriate patient care plans based on clinical findings Collaborate with primary care providers, psychiatrists, and dependency programs Maintain timely, thorough, and accurate patient documentation Respond to patient calls and coordinate follow-ups or referrals promptly Deliver patient-centered care with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and empathy Required Qualifications
Experience:
At least 12 continuous months within the last 3 years providing direct patient care in a public or private setting Licensure:
Active California LCSW license (hard copy required) BLS Certification:
Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association Identification:
Valid photo ID, Drivers License, or Passport Benefits
Health Insurance Weekly Payroll via Direct Deposit 40 Hours Paid Sick Time Contract Extension Bonus Pre-employment costs covered (Physical, Drug Test, Mask Fit, Background Check) Temp-to-perm opportunity for state employment with full benefits, if available
