Job Title: Technical Product Owner

Location: Onsite Dallas, TX - Need Local Experience Required: 14+ years Employment Type: 6 months Contract

Key Responsibilities: Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, clients, and technical teams to capture and translate requirements into clear user stories and product specifications Lead requirements gathering sessions with internal and external stakeholders; create detailed business process flow diagrams, data mapping documents, and integration specifications Own and groom the product backlog; prioritize features and enhancements based on business value and technical feasibility Work closely with engineering teams to clarify requirements, support sprint planning, and ensure successful implementation of features Analyze complex system integrations and data flows to identify gaps, dependencies, and opportunities for optimization Collaborate with QA and development to define acceptance criteria and validate the functionality of delivered features Troubleshoot technical issues across systems, including basic code-level debugging and SQL/database analysis Understand and interpret relational database structures, write and review SQL queries, and ensure data integrity across systems Communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders, from developers to executive leadership, translating technical information into business terms and vice versa Contribute to the creation of internal and client-facing documentation, including release notes, API guides, and integration support materials Required Skills & Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or a hybrid technical-functional role Strong understanding of system integrations, APIs, and data mapping Experience working with cross-functional agile teams and leading product lifecycle from discovery through delivery Proven ability to elicit requirements, map business processes, and define user stories with clear acceptance criteria Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL); able to write and interpret SQL queries Ability to debug or read through application code (basic knowledge of scripting or object-oriented languages is a plus) Exceptional communication skills - written, visual, and verbal - with the ability to present complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Figma/Visio, Postman, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI or Tableau) Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and SDLC best practices
