Part-Time CDL Driver
Pay Rate: $26.50 per hour JOB SUMMARY As a Part-Time CDL Driver, you will be essential in delivering and picking up containers from various customer locations. Your role is crucial in ensuring safe and efficient operations while building strong relationships with our customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Safely drive and operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers at customer sites. Conduct and document daily pre and post trip inspections of the vehicle and lift. Flexibly accept additional deliveries as required to meet business needs. Utilize a handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation. Operate a forklift and/or an overhead crane as needed. Ensure containers are clean and presentable before delivery to customers. Coordinate rental paperwork and payments with customers efficiently. Communicate effectively with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding any customer inquiries or issues; prepare driver notes as necessary. Perform repairs on containers and lifts both in the field and at the storage center. Support storage center functions when required. Maintain a clean truck cab, ensuring it is free from debris inside and outside. Assist with other duties and responsibilities as assigned. MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position reports directly to management, typically under the supervision of a Market Manager or Territory Manager. This role does not involve direct management of other employees. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. Valid CDL Class B License without air brake restriction. Maintain a current and valid driver’s license. Adhere to PODS Driver Qualification Standards. Must be at least 21 years of age (insurance requirement). Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or have the ability to obtain a minimum of a 1-year certification (DOT requirement). Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software is preferred. Basic math skills sufficient to perform required duties. Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
