The Director, Information Technology – Enterprise Applications develops and executes technology strategies aligned with business goals, oversees the IT department, and drives innovation through new technologies and process improvements. Key responsibilities include managing ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4 HANA, Oracle JDE), ensuring secure and efficient systems across all sites, collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with policies and standards. The role also involves leading and mentoring a team, fostering a collaborative environment, and traveling approximately 30% to US & Canada sites. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement technology strategies supporting business objectives. Identify process improvements and drive new technology adoption. Lead enhancement and adoption of ERP systems (SAP S/4 HANA, Oracle JDE, Fusion), leveraging solutions to improve operations. Ensure IT systems are secure, reliable, and efficient. Oversee deployment of new systems and upgrades, support shared service structures, and integrate technology environments. Collaborate with operations, quality, sales, and supply chain teams to align technology initiatives with business needs. Manage IT budgets, purchasing, and financial planning. Develop and enforce IT policies on architecture, security, disaster recovery, and standards. Ensure compliance with current technology platforms. Travel approximately 30% to company sites in US & Canada. People Leader Responsibilities
Supervise IT professionals, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, and addressing issues. Lead and motivate the IT team across multiple locations, providing guidance and fostering professional development. Ensure safety and quality standards are met, and plan organizational structure and staffing levels. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or related field. 12+ years of progressive IT experience in a global enterprise, including team management. Experience implementing and managing ERP systems (SAP S/4 HANA, Oracle JDE, Fusion). Knowledge of current manufacturing industry technologies and products. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Strong understanding of ITIL and IT Service Management processes. Cross-functional knowledge of IT department activities and services. Effective relationship-building at all levels, trusted leadership, and advisory skills. Ability to meet deadlines, research IT issues, and lead projects strategically. Resilience and stress management skills. Project management, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Mathematical and technical literacy, with practical application skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present to management and stakeholders. Practical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications
MBA or master’s in IT or related field. Experience in OTC, pharmaceutical, or food industries, especially with 21-CFR-Part 11 compliance. Experience with SAP S/4 HANA & Oracle JDE/Fusion implementations. Project management or ITIL certification. Understanding of business processes in finance, sales, manufacturing, and supply chain.
