Position Summary
North Seattle College is looking for innovative and dedicated faculty members, who have demonstrated a commitment to working collaboratively within a college community that is diverse and serves students from a broad spectrum of socioeconomic and academic backgrounds. The faculty will teach, primarily on campus, a variety of upper- and lower-level courses for our associate and bachelor¿s degree Accounting programs. Courses include but are not limited to Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, International Accounting, Tax Accounting, Not-for-Profit Accounting, Ethics, and Bookkeeping courses. Successful applicants will have the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, staff, and others in a campus climate that promotes cultural diversity and multicultural understanding in an urban environment.
Specific teaching assignments will be dependent on the instructor's background.
Candidates should be willing to teach in a variety of formats such as in-class, hybrid, online and varied class times including days and evenings according to program needs. Successful candidates will need to complete the Canvas Learning Management System training offered by the College prior to starting teaching courses.
This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement with representation by AFT-Seattle.
The salary range for part time faculty is $7,110.33 - $10,649.33 (P1: A1- E7).

What You Bring As a Candidate
An understanding of the goals and role of the community college Demonstrated ability and commitment to teach multiple levels of Accounting Master's Degree or PhD in Accounting or related field from an accredited institution Professional Industry certification e.g., CPA, CFE, CA, etc¿ A demonstrated commitment to working within a college community that is diverse and International Accounting experience

Innovative teaching methods including the use of technology and collaborative learning The ability to work collaboratively with others in a professional setting Familiarity of Learning Management Systems and willingness to be proficient in Canvas Learning Management System prior to the beginning of teaching assignment
