MedStar Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide Floor Technician to join our team at Washington Hospital Center.
Position Overview
As an Environmental Services Aide Floor Technician, you will operate specialized equipment and be responsible for maintaining the floors of various areas including offices, patient rooms, corridors, lobbies, and public spaces such as cafeterias. Responsibilities include stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting of hard surfaces and carpets.
Main Duties
Perform preventative maintenance checks on equipment and ensure safety notices are posted before work begins.
Carry out floor care activities such as mopping, buffing, burnishing, vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extraction.
Clean walls, perform dusting, and routine restroom cleaning.
Conduct routine cleaning of offices and classrooms and maintain cleaning equipment.
Perform terminal cleaning using UV machines in designated areas, utilizing electronic tablets for operation and data collection.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
3 years of relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.
At least 1 year of experience and/or completion of the DES Floor Tech training program.
Salary range: $17.938 - $26.138
