Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative - Floater serves as a high-level Phlebotomist and frontline representative of the organization, responsible for delivering safe, accurate, and compassionate specimen collection across multiple locations. This role ensures efficient patient interaction, specimen handling, and accurate documentation while adapting to varied site needs. The ideal candidate excels in pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy, thrives in high-volume settings, and is willing to travel daily to assigned locations.

This is a travel-based position covering a regional territory in Michigan. Candidates must be able to commute to various sites including East Lansing, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, Benton Harbor, Muskegon, and Grand Rapids. Travel is required daily; all mileage and work-related travel will be coordinated through the company.

Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to various assigned sites to perform specimen collection procedures
- Collect high-quality blood specimens and ensure accurate labeling and documentation
- Educate and guide patients through the collection process with empathy and professionalism
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment
- Follow all standard operating procedures and lab protocols
- Manage competing priorities and provide backup support as needed across service areas
- Represent the organization positively in clinics, patient service centers, and doctors' offices
- Support onboarding and training at new or existing locations
- Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
- At least 2 years in a Patient Service Center or outpatient collection setting preferred
- Experience in customer-facing roles within healthcare or service industries
- Proficiency with data entry and patient records
- Experience with mobile phlebotomy or multi-location coverage
- Prior paramedic or medical assistant training
- Expert-level phlebotomy technique, including pediatric and geriatric patients
- Ability to work independently while traveling to various locations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Phlebotomy certification (Required in CA, NV, WA)
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service communication
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
- Comfortable with on-call and flexible scheduling
- Confidence working in high-volume, fast-paced environments
- Adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA standards
- Open and transparent communication with peers and patients
- Willingness to support changing priorities and travel needs
