Job Description
The Business Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions within an organization. Business Analysts analyze and understand business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and facilitate communication between stakeholders. Their primary goal is to ensure that business requirements are clearly defined and solutions align with organizational objectives. The BA serves as the primary liaison between product experience stakeholders, understanding business needs, structure, processes, policies, and operations. The role involves assessing and recommending impacts of changes that enable the organization to achieve its goals, as well as capturing, analyzing, and documenting requirements. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Elicit, translate, validate, communicate, negotiate, and manage requirements Scope projects to meet business needs Identify, define, communicate, and negotiate solutions (technical, business process, procedural) that maximize value Act as a communication conduit between stakeholders and project teams Assist in writing user acceptance tests/cases and liaise between testing resources and stakeholders Identify and model processes, data, and business rules Document business requirements, user stories, and process flows Conduct analysis of business processes, market trends, and user needs to identify product enhancement opportunities Collaborate with product managers to define requirements and prioritize features Work with experience architects and designers to create intuitive user interfaces Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development teams Facilitate communication between stakeholders during the product lifecycle Perform user acceptance testing and gather feedback for iterations Monitor KPIs related to product usage, satisfaction, and business impact Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies KPIs:
Requirement Accuracy Project Timeliness Defect Density in Requirements Time to market for new features User satisfaction scores Adoption rate of new features Reduction in user-reported issues Impact on key business metrics (e.g., revenue, retention) DELIVERABLES:
Requirements documentation and management Impact Analysis and Feasibility Report Project/product scope Process, data, and business rules models Test Plans & Use Cases HIRING REQUIREMENTS:
Work Experience: Experience in business analysis, product management, or related roles Experience with software development projects focusing on user-centric design Familiarity with industries like technology, e-commerce, or finance is advantageous Knowledge Level: Bachelors degree in business, computer science, or related field 3+ years in business analysis or product management Proficiency in relevant tools and methodologies Certifications: CBAP or similar certification preferred Agile or Scrum certification beneficial UX/UI design training could enhance proficiency Equal Opportunity Employer
