Benefits & Leave Specialist

The Benefits & Leave Specialist will be located in our Little Rock, AR headquarters and be responsible for the coordination of the Company's benefit and leave management programs. Position reports to the Director of Payroll & Benefits. Job Summary: Demonstrate a high level of customer service while assisting with daily employee questions, issues, claims, and benefit education. Process new hire enrollments & life events. Review monthly invoices from carriers, maintain enrollment records, & monitor vendor data file feeds. Assist with the HRIS as it relates to benefits, enrollment, and other initiatives. Ensure compliance with Section 125, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA & other regulations. Assist with retirement plan administration and compliance on 401(k) plan in accordance with ERISA. Assist with non-qualified deferred compensation plans administration including employee education. Coordinate annual open enrollment including employee education, group enrollment sessions, and one-on-one enrollment with employees. Conduct benefit orientations for new employees, as needed. Complete federal and state reports, as needed, required, or requested. Conduct regular audits of benefit plan enrollments. Assist in management of employee reward programs. Process and administer all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA. Track all employee FMLA, workers' compensation, and/or other similar leaves or absences while ensuring compliance with applicable law and Company policy. Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities. Other duties, projects, and/or programs as assigned. In lieu of education, equivalent experience/training/certification may be substituted. 3+ years of experience in employee benefits and leave administration. Knowledge of FLSA, ERISA regulations, and other applicable federal, state, and local laws pertaining to benefits administration. Job functions require long periods of sitting and working from computer workstation; ability to multi-task, problem solve, and prioritize daily workload; excellent organization and record keeping skills; comfortable with oral and written communications. Requires extended periods of sitting, normal walking, bending, twisting, and stretching. Capability of sight and hearing required.
