Overview Navigator

Restaurant A Navigator is the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for presenting exceptional customer service to ensure the guests' first impression of the restaurant is a positive one. Responsibilities include greeting guests in a professional, pleasant and helpful manner, directing them to their seats promptly, and presenting them with menus. The Navigator responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely manner, maintains knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and restaurant promotions to provide accurate information to guests, handles guest complaints or issues professionally, takes to-go orders over the phone and in person, manages the point-of-sale register, accepts credit cards, cash, and comps, engages with guests to ensure they're happy with food and service, refills drinks and clears plates as needed during the guest's dining experience, monitors restaurant activity to determine seating/dining flow, and performs opening and closing duties as directed by the supervisor or manager. Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures. Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees. Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service. Performs any other duties as assigned. Qualifications include one year of restaurant experience preferred, organizational skills, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, a positive attitude, the ability to work well in a team environment, multitasking ability, availability on weekdays, weekends, nights, mornings, and holidays, previous money handling experience, professional and neat appearance, and the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
