The Vice President, Global Infrastructure Technology and Ops will be responsible for leading and evolving the company's global technology infrastructure. This role ensures the reliability, scalability, and security of our IT operations, spanning cloud and data centers, networks, digital workplace services, service desk operations, and collaboration platforms. The VP will drive strategic modernization efforts, operational excellence, and continuous improvement to support business growth and transformation. Key Responsibilities
Oversee global cloud and data center operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Lead network strategy and operations, covering both corporate and manufacturing environments. Manage digital workplace services, including endpoint management, identity and access management, and user productivity tools. Ensure world-class service desk and IT support capabilities, focusing on user experience, automation, and efficiency. Own the collaboration and communication platforms, ensuring seamless global connectivity and productivity. Develop and execute a roadmap for infrastructure modernization, aligning with business objectives and emerging technologies. Drive cost efficiencies and performance improvements, leveraging cloud optimization, automation, and best practices. Optimize hybrid infrastructure strategies, balancing on-premises and cloud capabilities. Partner with security and compliance teams to maintain best-in-class security, risk, and compliance postures across infrastructure. Lead business continuity and disaster recovery planning, ensuring resilience in critical systems and operations. Build and lead a high-performing global infrastructure and operations team, fostering collaboration and innovation. Establish and maintain key performance metrics for service quality, system reliability, and user experience. Ensure ITSM best practices, leveraging automation and AI-driven capabilities for service improvement. Oversee vendor and partner management, ensuring alignment with business needs and maximizing value. Work closely with business units, IT leadership, and functional leaders to ensure technology aligns with business goals. Collaborate with CISO and security teams to implement and enforce security best practices. Partner with enterprise architecture and applications teams to support ERP, Finance, HR, and other critical business systems. Engage with finance and procurement to optimize IT spend, contracts, and resource allocation. Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred. 15+ years of experience in technology infrastructure leadership, including cloud, data centers, networks, and IT service management. Proven track record of leading large-scale IT operations, including global teams and vendor ecosystems. Strong expertise in cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), hybrid IT, network security, and ITIL service management. Experience supporting manufacturing environments and their unique IT infrastructure needs is a plus. Demonstrated ability to drive IT transformation and operational excellence in a fast-paced, evolving environment. PR) locations (USD): $298,000 - $362,000 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). Base pay is based on numerous factors and may vary by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, etc. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
