Job Opportunity At The City Of Virginia Beach Department Of Human Services

The City of Virginia Beach Department of Human Services is seeking to hire two Behavior Specialist II candidates who have experience working with Adults with Serious Mental Illness and Co-occurring disorders in a Behavioral Health Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) program for our Beach House day program. Responsibilities: Assist with organizing, and ensuring quality service delivery of Beach House. Assist Beach House Supervisor and clinicians in the development, evaluation and direction of program. Provide intra and inter agency communication and collaboration. Promote city, unit, and program mission. Assist in developing and maintaining policies to promote program effectiveness and efficiency. Provide clinical assessment, clinical intervention, case management, vocational, crisis intervention and prevention, program coordination, and counseling services in a psychosocial setting with an emphasis on skill-building via psychoeducational groups and skill acquisition activities/duties. Assist in community integration of Beach House consumers. Ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Maintain accurate and competent records. Adhere to Medicaid regulations and licensure requirements. Perform initial and on-going clinical assessments and develop individualized person-centered treatment plans, updating regularly. Completes progress notes, Care Plans, ISP's and quarterly reviews. And here's the exciting part - the selected candidate will qualify for a $3,000 hiring bonus!
