Master Scheduler - 12 Month Assignment

Master Scheduler will play a crucial role in the Supply Chain Operations team, reporting directly to the Director of Supply Chain Operations within Global External Operations. This role is essential in ensuring the reliable supply of products to a global patient population by translating production plans into material inventory and production requirements. The incumbent will also act as the linkage between strategy and tactical execution, facilitating plant governance and ensuring alignment between strategic and tactical plans. Responsibilities: Implement and maintain rigorous planning processes within the Supply Chain Operations team to ensure continuous product supply to patients. Develop and actively manage process metrics for Planning that measure effectiveness towards achieving goals and provide visibility to improvement opportunities. Lead and participate in investigations and subsequent Root Cause Analysis, resolving issues and providing permanent corrective actions. Key support and leadership within Global External Operations for ERP transformation in 2025. Define and update parameters needed for rough-cut and detailed capacity planning, including lead times, yields, success rates, run rates, and production calendars. Lead and participate in internal plant governance, ensuring that priorities and due dates are valid, clear, and aligned across work centers. Own and enforce production schedule time fences and manage escalation and decision-making around planning time fence crashes. Convert supply network plan orders in the approved production plan into process orders in a master schedule for the plant. Develop and support local and global programs/initiatives to deliver transformational change and continuous improvement across processes and KPIs. Proactively troubleshoot complex issues and support the Supply Chain Operations Planning & Scheduling team and colleagues from other functional groups. Formulate proposals/business cases for improvement projects, including deliverables, financial analysis, and development of these ideas into meaningful chartered and prioritized projects. Review and maintenance to improve planning and cost accuracy. Creation and review of master data for new nodes, products, and SKU launches. Occasional travel when permitted (10%). Education: Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent. Preferred Education: APICS certification and/or supply chain education preferred. Other continuing education initiatives highly desirable (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, industry-specific coursework). Experience/Skills: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the biotech/pharma industry with experience in supply chain, procurement, and/or manufacturing operations. Experience with a combination of Master Scheduling, Inventory Analysis and Management, ERP systems, and new product launches. Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and partner with other functional groups to achieve business objectives. Skillful application of KPIs and metrics to manage business processes and support strong team performance. Excellent communication skills Oral, written, and formal presentation skills with senior management, middle management, and line staff. Proficient and comfortable working indirectly through others. Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and processes (Knowledge of Oracle and SAP is preferred). Creative problem-solving skills and superior communication abilities.
