Production Planner/Scheduler II

at Tendeg, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and timely scheduling of aerospace manufacturing operations. You will coordinate closely with engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to develop production plans that meet customer demands while maintaining compliance with aerospace industry standards. Your expertise in ERP, PLM, and MES systems will be essential to managing product lifecycle data and optimizing real-time production workflows. We are looking for a Planner/Scheduler II that will support the following programs: INCUS: NASA has selected Tendeg to deliver four Ka-band deployable antennas for a new Earth science mission called Investigation of Convective Updrafts (INCUS) that will study the behavior of tropical storms and thunderstorms, including their impacts on weather and climate models. https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/nasa-selects-new-mission- to-study-storms-impacts-on-climate-models 2-axis Gimbal Antennas: Tendeg has multiple contracts to develop, fabricate, test and deliver flight units for deployable high gain antennas from X-band to Q/V-band. These are for sensor and communication missions for LEO, MEO and lunar applications. Perimeter Truss Reflectors: Tendeg has multiple contracts to deliver large aperture antennas for GEO communications, SAR, and national security What you'll do: Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products. Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay. Calculate material requirements and monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock. Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, quality control, and logistics teams to align production plans with material availability and delivery deadlines. Determine manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production and test demand. Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget. Proactively address scheduling or production issues to minimize disruption. Coordinate and review engineering changes for assigned projects Maintain strict adherence to business process and government compliance Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements leveraging Lean or similar methodologies. Prepare documentation and provide training for planning operations as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Key Job Requirements: Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field. At least 3-5 years of experience as a production planner or a similar role. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes, such as composite fabrication, machining, assembly, and quality control standards is a plus. Proficient in MRP/ERP systems and other planning tools. Hands-on experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems to manage product data and engineering changes efficiently throughout the production cycle. Knowledge and practical use of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to monitor, control, and optimize real-time production operations. Intermediate skills in data analysis and production metrics reporting (Excel, Power BI or similar tools). Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, material handling, traceability, and inventory control. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise between engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and manufacturing teams. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills Ability to work under strict deadlines while maintaining precision and compliance with aerospace safety and quality standards.
