$200.00/hr - $200.00/hr If you're the maestro who orchestrates seamless onboarding amidst chaos, then you're the one we're looking for. You've handled platforms, support queues, and people challenges, maintaining SLAs and ensuring smooth rollouts. Transforming disarray into reliable systems is your forte.
2 Hour Learning is on a rapid growth trajectory, planning to launch 25–30 new school campuses in the next half-year. We need a leader to take charge of the operational setup for each campus, from student onboarding and tech provisioning to support workflows and change management.
This role doesn't come with a pre-set process. You will create and manage it at scale.
About 2 Hour Learning
2 Hour Learning empowers Alpha Schools, NextGen Academy, GT School, Texas Sports Academy, and Unbound Academy — a family of K–12 schools and educational products based on a revolutionary idea: students can achieve a full year's academic growth in just two hours of focused learning daily, freeing the rest of the day for activities like sailing, sports, public speaking, or game design.
Our platform features real-time progress dashboards, curriculum recommendations, and feedback tools, providing the structure for rapid learning and the freedom for personal growth.
With private equity backing, long-term funding, and a clear mandate to scale, this isn't an experiment. The model is proven. Charter applications are underway, and licensing is expanding. Now, it's time to build the infrastructure, starting with this role.
WHY THIS ROLE?
This is the powerhouse behind our launch success.
You Will Spearhead The Systems Ensuring Every New School Operates Effectively From Day 1 And Continues To Do So At Scale. You'll Have
The authority to design and own the entire operational setup A model already delivering outstanding academic results Support from legal, product, launch, and finance teams — but you'll hold the final accountability for go-live A culture that values proactive action, systems thinking, and operational clarity
ARE YOU THE RIGHT FIT?
You'll collaborate directly with operators and founders who demand intensity, precision, and results. If your instinct is to address broken workflows before they're noticed, we'd love to meet you.
If you've ever thought, "I won't wait for someone else; I'll build the system myself," — this is your opportunity.
What You Will Be Doing
Overseeing student onboarding, tech provisioning, and system configuration across over 25 school campuses Crafting and enforcing SLAs for internal support processes and issue resolution Collaborating with launch, product, and platform teams to ensure readiness Managing change for platform updates, feature rollouts, and workflow adjustments Establishing feedback loops between field operations and central ops to enhance speed and reliability Developing clear ownership models and escalation paths for operational execution
What You Won’t Be Doing
Handling edge cases — your role is to systematize, not just resolve Operating in isolation — this role interacts with platform, product, launch, and support teams Executing someone else's process — you'll design, own, and refine it Slowing down for consensus — you'll lead decisively and act swiftly Managing support like a ticket mill — we focus on outcomes, not volume
VP Of Operations Key Responsibilities
Conceive, implement, and manage the systems and workflows that ensure seamless student onboarding, school connectivity, and chaos-free updates.
Basic Requirements
We seek a systems-oriented operator who thrives amidst uncertainty, enhances what works, and eliminates what doesn't — with extensive experience in onboarding, support, and launch-critical operations.
Your Qualifications Should Include
3+ years experience with an MBB firm Proven track record in designing and executing cross-functional operational workflows in uncertain settings (e.g., onboarding systems, customer support infrastructure, or large-scale tech provisioning) Experience in managing systems and process setup across various functions (e.g., product, support, legal, tech) with clear SLA enforcement, handoffs, and accountability frameworks Ability to create and perfect zero-to-one systems that sustain — not just troubleshoot, but preemptively solve at scale Exceptional structured problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills honed in a high-performance consulting environment Comfort using AI tools for efficiency and minimizing manual tasks Located in the United States and willing to travel up to 25% of the time to campus locations Must have legal eligibility to work in the US without visa sponsorship
