Position Summary:
CLJ Consulting and Contracting LLC is seeking an experienced
Technical Support Lead
to provide technical support for the
Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation's (PBGC) Office of Benefits Administration (OBA)
tools. These tools are primarily Excel and Access-based applications that support pension processing operations.
Key Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day technical support for PBGC's internal OBA tools (Excel/Access/VBA-based applications) Troubleshoot software issues and user-reported problems, identifying root causes and implementing solutions Assist in testing new tool versions, upgrades, and bug fixes Contribute to tool enhancements, including coding updates and process automation Document system changes, updates, and user instructions in clear, concise language Collaborate with business users to gather requirements for tool improvements Support version control and maintain up-to-date documentation in shared repositories Provide user support and training for new or updated tools as needed Required Qualifications:
Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting Microsoft-based applications and databases Familiarity with Microsoft Access, Excel, and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline Experience supporting government agencies or pension-related systems Working knowledge of SQL and database query tools Experience with software testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), or QA methodologies Ability to translate user needs into technical requirements and documentation Clearance Requirement:
Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass all required background checks.
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
