Our Foam manufacturing facility located in Phoenix, AZ is currently hiring for Foam Technician I
** Hours are Monday-Friday 5AM-3PM**
**Hourly pay starting at $18.00/hr**
JOB SUMMARY
The Foam Technician I is responsible for supporting the primary operations of the foam production line within WT Burnet's manufacturing facility.
This role involves handling chemicals, setting up production equipment, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. The position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to respond quickly to operational needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Set up and maintain bottom and side plastics for foam line production, ensuring high-quality foam output. Assist with the preparation of daily production needs and active participation during pours. Fill chemical day tanks and operate drum tilting equipment to ensure the correct chemical supply during production. Address mechanical issues swiftly to minimize downtime and maintain production flow. Participate in forklift training and operate forklifts as required for material handling. Offload chemical tanker trucks, adhering to strict safety and handling protocols. Maintain cleanliness around the foam line, manage chemical spills effectively, and dispose of waste materials properly. On days without pouring activities, assist in the logistics department with loading trucks for shipping. Other duties as assigned. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Efficiency and accuracy in setting up production equipment. Compliance with chemical handling and safety regulations. Effectiveness in maintaining cleanliness and order around the production area. Reliability and timeliness in completing assigned tasks. QUALIFICATIONS
One year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with chemical handling. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills. High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred) Advanced knowledge of facility maintenance protocols. WORKING CONDITIONS
Predominantly indoor work in a warehouse setting, subject to varying temperature conditions. This position is physically demanding and involves working in a production environment, frequent lifting, handling hazardous materials, and operation of heavy machinery. Uneven surfaces, up and down ramps, stairs. BENEFITS
