Position Title: SSBE Student Office Assistant

Job Summary:

Duties: The Sentry School of Business and Economics (SSBE) student office assistant is responsible for assisting the Administrative Specialist and Administrative Assistant in the day-to-day operations of the school's administrative unit. Also serves as the front desk/reception contact for the SSBE.

Responsibilities Include:

-Greeting and assisting students, faculty, and visitors, and providing general information

-Answering and directing incoming phone calls

-Managing incoming and outgoing mail

-Photocopying and scanning documents

-Maintaining office supplies and inventory levels

-Ensuring the front office and mailroom remain clean and organized

-Assisting with basic copier and printer troubleshooting

-Posting items to bulletin boards

-Delivering items or documents to other campus locations

-Assisting with event planning and coordination (e.g., banquets)

-Performing other administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications: No SSBE majors or minors (for confidentiality reasons). The applicant must be in good academic standing, have knowledge of Word and Excel, and be able to work within the scheduled open office hours. Must have good communication and organizational skills.

Wages/Compensation: $12.00/hour

Hours: 6-10 hours per week
