Job Description

The University Centers (UC) Office Assistant is responsible for the smooth operation of the UWSP name badge system, providing front desk coverage and general office tasks. In addition, the Office Assistant is responsible for special projects and tasks requested by full-time staff in the UC Administration Complex.

This position reports to the Financial Specialist within UC Administration.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must be available to work up to 15 hours per week during the semester and attend staff meetings and events as necessary. Morning availability is a plus. Additional hours may be available over breaks and during the summer.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience with customer service, general office skills, and/or Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are preferred.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates with at least two semesters remaining at UWSP.

Education

The Office Assistant must be at least a part-time student (enrolled in a minimum of 6 undergraduate or 5 graduate credits) and be in good academic standing (cumulative and semester GPAs of 2.0 or higher) at the time of hiring and throughout employment.
